How to use this well
- Turn the model to the side the spot is on, then tap it. Getting within a couple of centimetres is plenty โ the point is that you and the vet are looking at the same place.
- Measure it once, today. One number now is what makes every future number mean something. A ruler against it, or pick the fruit it is closest to.
- Measure it again in a few weeks. Two readings is a line; three is a trend, and a trend is the single most useful thing you can bring to an appointment.
- Photograph it with a ruler or a coin next to it. Photos stay on this device; they are there for you, and for showing rather than describing.
- If something has changed in how they are rather than on them โ drinking more, stiff getting up, off their food โ that belongs on the Behaviour tab. Same idea, different two facts: how often, and how bad.

Only add what you have actually noticed. A short list you log every day is worth far more than a long one you stop filling in.
